Standards you can check

Most agencies describe their work with adjectives. We would rather show the measurements. A claim you can check is worth more than a promise you have to take on trust.

Every website we ship is measured in a real browser at phone size before we call it done. Not reviewed, not eyeballed. Measured, with the same checks every time. This page lists the standards, and then holds our own site to them, publicly, with the numbers and the date.

What we deliberately do not promise. We never guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue, because no one honestly can. We do not use stock photography or AI-generated images; a site is built from your real work or it is not finished. And we will not tell you a website is unhackable, because none is. What we promise is the part we control: how the site is built, and that you can verify it.

The standards, in plain terms.

It works in a hand. The page fits a phone screen with no sideways scrolling. Body text is never smaller than 14px. Every button and link is at least 44px: bigger than an adult fingertip, and stricter than the published accessibility minimum. Pinch-zoom is never disabled, because that is the one tool a person with less than perfect eyesight has left.

It can be read. All visible text meets the published contrast standard, 4.5 to 1 or better, so it survives sunlight, older screens, and eyes that are not twenty. That threshold is WCAG, an accessibility standard, not a taste call.

It holds still and loads fast. The page does not jump around while it loads, and the main content paints in under 2.5 seconds. Layout shift stays under 0.1. Both are published “good” thresholds, not numbers we invented.

It is boring underneath, on purpose. Our sites are plain HTML and CSS with little or no JavaScript. No page builder, no plugin stack. A large share of small-business website compromises involve out-of-date platforms and vulnerable plugins; our sites simply do not carry that surface. Fewer moving parts is also why they are fast.

You own it. Your domain, your hosting, your files, in your own accounts, with us working as a helper you can remove. That is the written standard every project is scoped to, and it has a plain consequence: if you ever stop paying us, the site keeps working. A care plan buys our time, never your access.
