Case study · Fasting & recovery

Kairo Fasting

A calm, private intermittent fasting and recovery app that learns your rhythm instead of nagging you. Built fully native for iPhone and Apple Watch.

The problem

Most fasting apps are one of two things: a blunt countdown timer, or a social feed that turns your body into content. Neither respects the person using it, and neither explains why a fast is worth doing on any given day.

The approach

Kairo treats fasting, movement, and recovery as one loop. It reads your recent training and history, then proposes a window that fits the day — a gentle 12 hours after a hard run, a longer one when you're fresh. Everything runs on device and stays private; there is no feed and no leaderboard.

The science is not decoration. Each fasting stage and every library lesson links to a real, citable source, so a curious user can always check the claim rather than take it on faith.

What shipped

A native iPhone and Apple Watch app in Swift and SwiftUI, with a Live Activity for the running fast, an adaptive daily plan, a sourced fasting-science library, and a companion marketing site at kairofasting.com. It is in beta and in active development.
